The Paradise Lake Association, Inc. is a non-profit Arizona corporation, comprised of its members and governed by its Articles of Incorporation, Bylaws, and Rules. The purpose of the PLA is to operate and maintain the properties owned by the PLA for the use and benefit of its members and the protection of Paradise Lake. The PLA properties include the lake and the 25’ strip of land surrounding the lake. Members both 1) own one or more lots that are contiguous with the PLA properties and 2) either joined the PLA or became members automatically because they bought their property from an existing member. Members may use the PLA properties as described in the Bylaws and Rules. Nonmembers and members not in good standing may not use the PLA properties.

2.  Paradise Lake Association (PLA)

Rule Number: 002                                                                      Revision: 1

Subject:  Exclusive-use Permit  

PURPOSE: To define Exclusive Use Permit.

Requirements:
1. Must be a PLA member in good standing.
2. Must join all owned lake properties.
3. Must be lake property owner.
4. Must submit written plan for use of PLA property and be board approved.

Benefits:
1. Exclusive use of PLA land contiguous with member's property.
2. Property tax paid by PLA.
3. Palm trees trimmed at least every 2 years.
4. Improved property value.
5. Fishing permits at no cost.
6. Boat permit at no cost.
7. Dock permit at no cost.

Restrictions:
1. No permanent structures i.e. Swimming pools, buildings etc.
2. Maintain property in good condition.
3. Must not use block wall or cemented post all fencing must be easily removable.
4. Provide easement for wall repair and tree trimming. 
5. Executive board may rescind permit if member is not in compliance with PLA rules for a period of 60 days.
In order to have an exclusive use permit, members must maintain  the 
PLA property in good condition. If the member doesn’t keep the PLA 
property in good condition, then the Board will either revoke the permit 
and the owner won’t be able to use the property, and has to remove their 
improvements, including docks, boats, landscaping etc…Or PLA will 
have the area maintained and bill the member. If you have a problem in 
maintaining the PLA area contact us and let the board know your 
situation we will help you find someone you can hire or volunteers may 
be found that could help for a lake donation.

3.   Paradise Lake Association (PLA)

Rule Number: 003                                                                    Revision: 3.1

Subject: Fishing Permit

PURPOSE: To define Fishing permit rules.

1. The following are the established fishing rules for Paradise Lake. 
    PLA Members who are residents living on the lake are not required 
    to have a fishing permit.

2. PLA Members can fish from their own lots or boats, not other lots unless 
    the member has owner’s permission in writing.

3. Associate members in good standing (have a sponsor and paid annual  
   fee) may fish from their sponsors lot or rented home and their boat.

4. Absolutely no littering.

5. All fish must be released back to the lake.

6. No fishing with nets.

7. Paradise Lake Fishing Rules shall comply with the the State of 
   Arizona Fishing Regulations.

4.  Paradise Lake Association (PLA)

Rule Number: 004                                                                       Revision: 1

Subject: Dock Permit

PURPOSE: To define requirements to obtain a Dock Permit.

Requirements:
1. Must be a PLA member in good standing.

2. Must be lake owner.

3. Must submit written plan and have board approval prior to dock 
    installation.

4. Any docking hardware must be approved by the board. I.E. no 
    tires can be used, no docking to the wall without something to
    protect the wall as always requires board approval.

Design Restrictions:
  1. Lake wall cannot be used to support the dock.
  2. Dock supports will be designed to not allow penetration of lake’s bottom. 
  3. Dock must remain within property owners lot lines. Exception to this is if 2 properties share a dock then the dock may straddle property lines but both property owners (PLA Members in good standing) must sign written plan before plan will be approved.
  4. Dock will not extend into the lake more than 20 feet from lake wall.
  5. Attaching the dock to land must be 3’ beyond the wall.

5. Paradise Lake Association (PLA)

Rule Number: 005                                                                     Revision: 3

Subject: Boat Permit

PURPOSE: To define requirements to obtain a Boat Permit.

Requirements:
    1. Must be a PLA member in good standing or an Associate member in 
        good standing.

    2. Must submit description of boat.

    3. Boat must be equipped with a minimum of:
        a. Oar
        b. Signaling devise: Horn, Whistle, Cell phone, Etc.
        c. Life vests for every person on board.
        d. Some form of light is required if operating the boat at night. 

   4. Propulsion method limited to electric motors not exceeding 3 HP.

   5. Boats may be launched at the Marina, with property owners permission. 
       Vehicles and trailers cannot remain on the property.

   6. Every boat operating on the lake will be required to have an adult 
       (16 or older) on board.

  7. Boats may not exceed 20 feet.

  8. Boats will be identified with Lot number in 3” letters on each side. 
     Associates boats will be identified with their sponsors lot number
     proceeded by the letter “A”. Example (A758)

   9. Only mushroom anchors are permitted.

  10. Guests of PLA members operating PLA member boats must have  
        property owners Guest Card in their possession. Membership Guest
        Cards can be requested from paradiselakeazcity@gmail.com.
        Violators of the above rules may lose their Boat Permit.

6. Paradise Lake Association (PLA)

Rule Number: 006                                                                       Revision: 1

Subject: Water Use Permit

PURPOSE: To define requirements to obtain a Water Permit.

Requirements:
1. Must be a PLA member in good standing.

2. Must be lake property owner.

3. Must join all owned lake properties.

4. Water use free for 25’ Lot D $25 for members property.
